Yeah! As of July 15, 2022, it has been an entire month since I started my journey. I started at a whopping 295 pounds to now 285.2 pounds. And I can’t honestly say how I lost the 10 pounds, but I will say that I am currently experimenting with my health.
I do not encourage others to do what I do. But seek a professional when making important decisions regarding your health.
How It Initially Started
So I started consuming more fruits and vegetables in the beginning. Though I wasn’t losing much weight, I wasn’t becoming as sluggish as I’d previously done. So I started taking vitamins. And for those of you that don’t like Herbalife, too bad. I use Herbalife and have been on all my health and wellness transitions. And they work out great for me. But this time, I started including more vitamins for assistance with taking in the correct nutrients. My issue with my diet is I don’t eat enough, and I wasn’t consuming the wrong foods.
Note: I’m not here to pitch you a sell on Herbalife. But I will say they played a big part in my numerous journeys toward health and wellness. So that is not to say that their products don’t work. Sometimes life gets in the way, and we as individuals become inconsistent regarding our health.

But I also used other apps in the process, such as JEFIT. Now again, this isn’t a sponsored ad. I’m merely sharing how I’m utilizing resources to conduct my process toward my fitness goals. I have been on this app for years, and they have advanced tremendously! I remember when they first started, but they have come a long way. They have so much information to access for any part of your journey, and you can make great friends through the app.
Mental Clarification
There were times when my mind became overwhelmed with discouragement, and I needed to evaluate myself. So I started back journaling. My thoughts became heavy, and I realized I needed to get back into therapy, which would come soon enough.
But with all that has been said and done, I am a month into my fitness. And I’m so very proud of myself, and I have to accept the little wins and learn to be patient with myself now that I’m older.
So here are some of the experiments I tried along the way.
- More home cooking
- Consuming more fruits and veggies.
- Drinking large amounts of water (spring or mineral).
- I am trying new foods.
- Learning to use my alone time. (Sometimes, doing nothing can help with stress)
- Listening to more music
- Meditation
Those were just some of the few that I did. Was each experiment helpful? No. That doesn’t mean I won’t try them again; they didn’t work for me during this part of my journey.
As of right now, I have been fasting for a week. And I can tell the difference in my appearance. I know everyone would like a photo, but honestly, I’m still not comfortable in the skin I’m in. So that will come a bit later.
But I part with you a gift—my routine from JEFIT that I have been doing for a month. And I can say I can tell I’m toning. Let me know if this helps.
